Adjustable Fuel Pump Control Module
Dual Walbro Pump Bracket
The Z32 incorporates a
fuel pump control module which is controlled by the
ECU to operate the fuel pump at various speeds depending
on engine load. With recent advances in upgrade parts
for these vehicles it is relatively easy to produce
greater than 600RWHP in which case it is required to
use a dual fuel pump system. When dual fuel pumps are
used, the electrical load required to drive two pumps
is greater than what the OE controller is capable of
handling and will destroy the OE controller's power
transistors.
This upgraded fuel pump
control module is capable of handling the electrical
load twice that of a dual fuel pump setup - an "overbuild"
used in this module to spread the load across multiple
power transistors to ensure a long service life.
Additionally, the controller
has user adjustable pump duty cycles - a feature that
allows the operator to dial in the output of the pumps
in order to prevent regulator over-run: a condition
where the fuel pressure regulator is not capable of
bypassing enough fuel volume back to the fuel tank resulting
in excessive fuel pressures.
The controller can be
used in either native twinturbo vehicles which incorporate
a 3-speed control sequence or in NA-TT conversions which
still employ the 2-speed control. A simple jumper allows
easy configuration of this parameter. A pushbutton switch
is also used to force mid-speed operation to ease the
setup process.
To display the fuel pump
duty, a 10-segment bar LED has been incorporated into
the design to simplify the setup and adjustments. A
single LED is also mounted to the board and an external
LED with cable is provided with the unit for dash-mounting
to provide driver feedback.
These modules are built
using the OE housing and connector to make installation
as simple as it can be - simply mount the new controller
in the OE location and connect the body harness connector.

The core charge is $100 which is added at the time of purchase if you choose to use this option. The $100 core refund will be issued back to your account upon receipt of your old controller. If you do not want the advance core option, you will need to send your controller in to us and we will immediately ship out the upgraded unit upon receipt.
